Hey everyone. I have recently acquired a TX-NR757, and have noticed a strange issue that it seems to have. It has onboard Pandora and other streaming apps, and I notice when I play something off of Pandora, it seems like the preamp signal is clipping. It does this at low volumes, or any volume really, but there's no adjustment to preamp level other than intellivolume, which isn't really what is needed (plus I tried lowering it and it still was clipping the audio).
I've also tried other inputs, and it seems to do the same thing on other inputs as well, so it's not necessarily only the built in NET apps, however I notice it a lot more on Pandora built-in.
Here's the kicker...the amount of distortion goes down significantly when I change the speaker mode to DIRECT, versus surround, stereo, etc. That almost says to me that maybe the internal digital audio processor may have some issues. I just don't want to risk damaging my speakers with giving them a clipped signal.
I've contacted Onkyo already about this, they told me to do a soft and hard reset, I did, and nothing changed.
Contacted them again, haven't heard from them yet, so I figured I'd post here to see if anyone has encountered the same issue and could offer some pointers. Thanks
